STEP : 1
In a pan heat cooking oil temper the mustard seeds,when oil is hot enough.add curry leaves and chopped garlic and finely chopped 2 medium size onions and saute it well
STEP : 2
when the onion turns in to golden brown add chopped tomatoes on it stir well and saute it by adding a pinch of salt for quick saute
STEP : 3
when the tomatoes are completely smashed add all the powders such ac kulambu chilly powder,a pinch turmeric powder and mix well for two minutes
STEP : 4
at this stage add the vegetables like drumsticks,potatoes and brinjal,you can also pressure cook the vegetables separately for one whistle with little red chilly powder
STEP : 5
saute the veggies for a while then add horse-gram,and mix well for two minutes and this stage adjust water if necessary and allow to cook for five minutes in medium to high flame.

by this time the vegetables should turn tender, GRINDING: In a mixer jar add 1 cup of grated coconut ,1-2 green chilly and a table of roasted groundnut and grind it into a fine paste.

when the vegetables are boiled add 1/4 cup of tamarind extract and keep boil for two minutes,then finally add the grounded coconut paste and let them boil for few minutes in low to medium flame
STEP : 8
Once the gravy gets thick and oil floats on top turn off the heat,and serve with rice or idly or tiffin varieties.
