  • 1.00 cup Whole green gram
  • 0.50 cup Jaggery
  • 1.00 cup Gram flour
  • 0.50 tbsp Chilly powder
  • 0.50 tbsp Salt
  • 2.00 cup Oil

  • Wash green grams atleast 4 times in water to remove chemicals if used. soak overnight and sprout the grains for a better outcome.

  • You can pressure cook with one whistle or boil directly until cooked using very little water. you can drain the excess water.

  • Mix the cooked grams with jaggery and u can cook till the jaggery melts. but take care so that its dry. cool and make laddoo sized balls.

  • Now mix the gram flour, salt, chilly powder and water and make a thick batter. chilly powder is optional. batter should be thick so that it coats well

  • Heat oil in a kadai, when hot, dip the balls in the prepared batter and drop them in kadai. fry till golden brown. your green gram jaggery balls are ready to be relished.
