Fried Idli – South Indian Style Crispy Fried Idli Recipe
fried idli is one of the south indian dish.Easy to make this recipe.The coconut chutney is a best combination of fried idli. Taste is also very spicy. All age group of people like this dish.
Ingredients
For Idli Preparation
- 2.00 nos Onion
- 2.00 nos Tomato
- 1.00 cup Coriander leaves
- 4.00 tbsp Salt
- 1.50 cup Water
For Masala Preparation
- 1.00 cup Oil
- 0.50 tbsp Mustard seeds
- 10.00 nos Coconut
- 0.50 tbsp Ginger
- 5.00 nos Garlic
- 0.25 cup coriander leaves
- 1.00 tbsp Red chili
Instructions
For Idli Preparation
- Please take the following ingredients : Idali Batter Coconut chutney Salt Oil Red chilli powder Onion Tomato Mustard Seeds Coriander leaves
- Chopped the Onion finely. Do not make big pieces of onion . You can also use the spring onion instead of normal onion.
- Chopped Tomato finely. Do not make big pieces of Tomato.You can use carrot or any other vegetables like cabbage or smashed potato.
- Take the coriander leaves and wash them neatly. Cut the coriander leaves finely . You can add this in batter or in Pan directly.
- Now take Idali batter in the bowl and add salt as per your taste or preference.
- After adding the salt in the batter please add chopped onion in that batter bowl.
- Next step is adding finely chopped Tomato in that Idali Batter bowl. Do not add Tomato more than onion .
- After adding the chopped onion and tomato please add chopped coriander leaves into the idali batter.
- After adding all the vegetables in the batter mix the batter with the help of spoon.
- Now take Idali maker stand and pour some tips of the oil in that stand.
- Add the oil on all the stand and spread the oil with the help of your finger.
- Now with the help of spoon fill the idali maker stand with the Idali batter.
- Take a pressure cooker and put it on the gas on medium flame for cooking Idali.
- Pour the water in the pressure cooker. Please note that do not pour more water in it . If you do so than water will come on your Idali.
- Take a kadai stand and put into the pressure cooker. Do not put the Idali maker stand directly in the water.
- After that put the Idali maker stand in it and check the level of water.
- Now close the presser cooker and remove the whistle of the presser cooker. Cooked the idali on medium flame for 15-20 mins.
- After 15-20 mins off the gas and let the cooker come on normal temperature after that open the cooker and you can see your idali is cooked perfectly.
- Remove the all Idali from the stand with the help of knife on the another plate
- Cut the all Iadlis into four similar pieces. Do not cut the small pieces of the Idali
For Masala Preparation
- Now take a kadai or pan and add some oil in that. Make sure the quantity of the oil. We want oil for fry.
- After adding oil let it be heat on low flame;once its get heated add mustard seeds.
- After that add coconut chutney in that. Coconut chutney ( Coconut; Garlic; Ginger; salt and coriander leaves and chilli)
- Mix chutney well in the oil and add red chilli powder as per your requirement .
- Let it be mix well in the oil for 1-2 mins . Keep the flame of gas on low mode.
- Now add the all the pieces of Idali into the masala and mix it well.
- Now put the gas on medium flame and mix the idali into the masala well. Make the idali fry very well. Make the Idali little crispy.
- Now your dish is ready. You can eat this with chutney and sambar.
