This is an originally Bangladeshi recipe and is a starter or a snack item. It is a Beckti or Basa fish fillet which is fried but the coating is not normal bread crumbs. It has a unique egg coating which is fluffy and crispy and looks very attractive. The fry looks very huge but in reality it is not so big as the fluriness is due to the beaten egg layer on top and it is served with ketchup and mustard sauce.

Ingredients of Fish cutlet

10.00 no Beckti Fillet
2.00 tbsp Garlic Paste
1.00 tbsp Onion Paste
0.50 tbsp Ginger Paste
1.50 tbsp Green Chili Paste
1.00 tbsp Red Chili Powder
0.50 tbsp Vinegar
0.50 tbsp Salt
0.25 cup Besan
0.25 cup Maida
0.25 cup Corn Flour
2.00 no Egg
0.50 tbsp Caustic Soda
10.00 tbsp Oil

Take the Beckti fish fillet and wash it very well and clean them thoroughly so that they are ready for marination.

Beat the egg in a blender and the top layer is ready. Heat oil in the tawa, coat the fried fish from step 8 into the egg and then add more of the eggs so that a crispy top layer is formed.
