Egg Chop – Traditional And Healthy Dish For Egg Chop Recipe
For Potato Paste Ingredients
- 3.00 nos Potatoes
- 3.00 cup Water
- 0.25 cup Garlic cloves
- 1.00 nos Ginger
- 2.00 tbsp Oil
- 0.50 tbsp Mustard seeds
- 0.25 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 1.00 cup onions
- 0.50 tbsp jeera powder
- 2.00 nos Green chillies
- 0.25 tbsp Asafoetida
- 1.00 cup Tomatoes
- 0.50 cup Coriander leaves
- 1.00 tbsp Salt
- 0.25 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 0.25 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 0.50 tbsp jeera powder
- 1.00 tbsp Red chilli powder
- 1.00 tbsp Garam masala
- 1.00 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1.00 tbsp Black pepper powder
For Egg Chops Ingredients
- 4.00 nos egg
- 2.00 tbsp cornflour
- 1.00 cup bread crumbs
- 0.25 liter Oil for fry
For Potato Masala Preparation
- The key ingredients to prepare potato egg chops ,we need potatoes,onions ,tomatoes,coriander leaves,bread crumbs,corn flour,red chilli powder,black pepper powder,coriander powder,black pepper powder,turmeric powder,hing,garam masala,Salt and oil for deep fry.
- Initially turn on the flame then add three nos of washed potatoes in a pressure cooker.
- Add two to three cups of water along with the washed potatoes with little bit salt.
- Close the pressure cooker lid and leave it for two to three whistles in a medium flame.
- After 2 to 3 whistles ,when the pressure calms down ,open the lid and drain the water completely.
- After draining the water,peel the potato skin completely and place it in a seperate bowl.
- Mash the boiled potatoes completely by using hands or by using potato masher for it.
- For seasoning ,turn on the flame,add two tablespoon of oil and let it heat completely.
- Add a tablespoon of black or red mustard seeds and let it splatter for few seconds.
- Add a tablespoon of cumin seeds or jeera and let it splatter for few seconds.
- Add a cup of onions and saute it for few seconds till it turns golden brown.
- Add four nos of chopped green chillies in hot oil for more spices in a vessel..
- For making blended and smooth paste ,add a cup of garlic cloves in a jar.
- Add half inch pieces of ginger along with the cloves and blend it into a paste.
- After blending it into a semi coarse paste ,transfer the ginger garlic paste in a bowl.
- Add a tablespoon of ginger garlic paste and saute it well ,let the raw smell goes away.
- When it boils,add a pinch of asafoetida or hing powder and mix it for few seconds.
- Add a cup of finely chopped tomatoes and mix it,let the tomatoes blend with the ingredients.
- Add the mashed potatoes along with the semi boiling ingredients and mix it ,let it cook.
- Add half cup of finely chopped coriander leaves or cilantro along with the potato mixture.
- Add little bit of salt or as per your taste ,mix it well and let it cook for few minutes.
- When it boils,add a pinch of turmeric powder then saute the ingredients for few seconds.
- Add half tablespoon of cumin seeds or jeera powder along with the boiling sabzi and let it boil.
- Add a tablespoon of red chilli powder and mix it ,let it cook for few seconds.
- Add a tablespoon of garam masala powder along with the potato mixture for more spices .
- Add a tablespoon of coriander powder or dhania powder along with the potato mixture and mix it.
- Add half tablespoon of black pepper powder or white pepper powder along with curry and mix it.
- When everything is complete ,turn off the flame then transfer it in a seperate bowl.
For Egg Boiled Preparation
- At the same time ,place another vessel add two cups of water and let it heat.
- Add three nos of eggs in a boiling water and let it boil for few minutes.
- When it boils completely ,turn off the flame and allow them to cool for few minutes.
- When it cools or immediately you can strain the hot water and add cool water in it, peel the egg outer layer .
- After seperating the outer layer ,cut the eggs into two equal parts and keep aside.
- For deep coating the potato mixture,break a single or whole egg in a seperate bowl.
- Add two tablespoon of corn flour along with the whole egg and mix it completely.
- Beat the egg mixture with fork spoon with out any lumps and keep it aside.
- Grease your palm with little bit oil ,take a mixture and make a lemon size mixture and flat it
- Place the half portion of sliced egg on top of the potato mixture and cover it.
- Place a little bit potato mixture on top and cover it with out any gap.
- Take a single roll ,dip the roll into the batter and coat it evenly on all sides.
- Take a dipped roll by using spoon and coat it with bread crumbs on all sides.
- Do the remaining roll in a same way and keep it in a seperate plate now its time to deep fry.
- Turn on the flame ,place a non stick pan ,add required oil to deep fry and let it heat for few minutes.
- When the oil heats ,drop a single roll carefully into hot oil and let it fry few seconds.
- After few seconds,Flip the roll gently and let it fry on other sides and take out from the oil,do the remaining all in a same way.Our tasty Potato Egg chops is ready now.
