STEP : 1
With a knife, peel the skin off the drumsticks. Wash them and cut them into two pieces.And take the flesh with a spoon or knife.
STEP : 2
Add turmeric powder, green chilli, garlic, jeerakam, one small onion and salt to the grated coconut and mix them well. Keep this aside.
STEP : 3
Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.Add mustard seeds and when they crackle, add the dry red chillies.Add small onions and squash the baby onions, just to make them out of shape.
STEP : 4
Once the onions turn into golden brown, add the cut drumstick flesh.Add 1/2 cup water along with salt and turmeric powder then close the pan.
STEP : 5
When the entire water is vapourized add the grated coconut mixture to this.Saute, till the raw smell of turmeric is gone.:- Serve hot with lunch or dinner.
