Dhokla Recipe
- 1.00 cup Oats
- 1.00 cup Gram flour
- 0.50 cup Curd
- 1.00 tbsp sugar
- 0.25 tbsp salt
- 0.50 tbsp red chilly powder
- 0.25 tbsp turmeric powder
- 0.50 tbsp ginger paste
- 1.00 tbsp fruit salt
- 0.50 tbsp Oil
- 0.50 tbsp Mustard seeds
- 0.50 tbsp white sesame seeds
- 3.00 tbsp Green chilly
Instructions
Dhokla Recipe
- Take three green chilies and fine slit some green chilies and pick some curry leaves and fine chop some coriander leaves,
- Heat a frying pan add one cup of oats and roast for few seconds in slow fire,
- When the added oats comes to well roasted and the color slightly changes to light golden brown then remove from flame,
- Add roasted and cooled past to a mixer jar and blend well for few seconds,
- For soft dhokla the oats must be blended finely as shown in the image and keep aside,
- Take a wide mixing bowl add those well roasted and fround3d oats powder to them,
- Then now add one cup of gram flour to them and mix well together,a t this stage you can also add semolina rava instead if gram flour,
- Then now add half a tbsp of ginger paste to them and mix well for few minutes,
- Then add half a cup curd into them and stir well for few minutes without any lumps,
- Keep in stirring ,now the batter comes to soft and thick and it has no lumps on it ,
- Then now add quarter cup of water into them which is need to loosen the batter,
- Then now add one tbsp of sugar into them and stir well continuously for few secinds till it dissolves well,
- Then now add little quantity of turmeric powder,red chilly powder,and add pinch of salt to them,
- Beat well using a beater till those added ingredients are well mixed together for few seconds,
- Then now add one tbsp of fruit salt to them,you can also use citric acid instead of fruit salt,
- Again beat well the batter and now we can visibly seen the ferment dots are raised in it level,
- Then now close a lid on that prepared last batter,keep for ferment process already for thirty minutes to one hour,
- After one hour those prepared oats and gran flour batter comes to well fermented and it is ready to steam cook now,
- Then now take a thalai tray and crease some oil and spread all over all the corners,
- Then now pour those prepared oats and gran flour batter to them and shake well to destroy the air bubbles,
- Heat a pressure cooker pan add one cup of water at the bottom for steam cook,
- Then now place those oats and gram flour mixture batter thali into that pressure cooker,
- Then now close the pressure cooker lid and brings it to boil for eight to ten minutes without put weight on it,
- After eight to ten minutes now remove from flame and open lid,niw the placed dhokla comes to well steamed,
- Then now give some cooling time for that prepared dhokla before separate them to that thali,
- When the dhokla comes to room temperature now transfer the dhokla to a plate using a knife,
- For tempering: Heat a tadka or frying pan add one tbsp of oil and brings it to hot,
- When the oil gets hot slower the flame and splutter some mustard seeds in to them,
- Then now add some slitted green chilies and add some curry leaves to them ,keep the flame low only,
- Then now add quarter tbsp of hing into them and saute for few seconds things helps for digestive process,
- Then now add half a tbsp of white sesame seeds into them and roast for few seconds,
- Then now pour those tempered ingredients over those steamed dhokla and spread evenly to spread all sides,
- When the oats dhokla remains warm now slice them as desired shape using a sharp knife and sprinkle some coriander leaves and serve hot.
