Dal pakwan is most popular vegetarian dish. These dish is made very simple as a morning tome breakfast. Dal masala is very spicy and delicious.
Ingredients
Dal Preparation
- 1.00 cup chana dal
- 1.00 tbsp Garam masala
- 1.00 tbsp Red chilli powder
- 2.00 nos Onions
- 5.00 nos Curry leaves
- 2.00 nos Tomatoes
- 1.00 cup Coriander leaves
- 3.00 no nos Green chillies
- 1.00 tbsp Oil
- 0.50 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 1.00 tbsp Salt
Flour Preparation
- 1.00 cup Wheat flour
- 1.00 cup Maida
- 0.50 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 0.25 tbsp Hing
- 0.25 cup Oil
- 1.00 tbsp Salt
Instructions
Dal Preparation
- Turn on the,flame place a pressure cooker and add a cup of soaked toor dal with two cups of water and leave it 3 to 4 whistles.
- Turn on the flame,place a pan or tawa ,add two to three tablespoon of oil,cumin seeds,red chillies.
- Add a cup of onions and let the onions saute till it turns nice color.
- Add a cup of tomatoes and let the tomatoes turns light mashy and soft texture.
- Add few curry leaves and mix it ,let the curry turns cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
- After 3 to 4 whistles,when the pressure calms down completely ,open the lid and pour it.
- Add some finely chopped coriander leaves in a dal and mix it and let it boil for few seconds.
- Add a tablespoon of garam masala or dhania powder and mix it,let it cook for few minutes.
- Now the sindhi dal cooked completely,turn off the flame and leave it to cool ,transfer it in a separate bowl.
Flour Preparation
- Take a separate vessel or mixing bowl,add one cup of all purpose flour and wheat flour in it.
- Add half cup of suji or rava along with the mixed flour for more crisp.
- Add a pinch of cumin seeds,ajwain, black pepper powder for more spiciness and mix it.
- Add a little bit oil too make a soft dough ,you can add a tablespoon of ghee for good smell and taste.
- Gradually add water little by little ,now knead the flour thoroughly to make a smooth dough.
- Take a dough and divide the dough into two small balls to prepare a flattened roll.
- Dust some flour on the flat surface ,take a ball and make a round shape flattened roll evenly.
- Turn on the flame,place a pan or tawa ,add required amount of oil and let it heat.
- Now press the flattened roll with fork spoon or tooth pick to make it crisp.
- Drop the roll one by one ,let it fry for few seconds then flip it.
- When it turns golden brown strain the excess oil then serve it with hot sindhi dal.
