This is an easy and yummy curry using daal and coconut as the main ingredient , this will take only ten minutes if we doing in pressure cooker . we can take this along with ghee rice, white rice, chappathi and porotta .

Ingredients of Dal curry

1.00 cup dal
0.50 cup coconut
0.25 cup green chilly
1.00 gram dried red chilly
2.00 tbsp shallots
0.25 cup curry leaves
0.50 tbsp mustard
2.00 tbsp coconut oil
0.25 tbsp cumin seeds
0.25 tbsp salt
0.25 tbsp turmeric powder

Dal curry

At the first step put one cup of clean dal in a pressure cooker , and meanwhile take a blender or mixer,

And put grated coconut , turmeric powder , green chilly , curry leaves and cumin seeds to it ,then grind it well.

we need a very smooth paste of the coconut mix ,so we can add little water while grinding, then pour this grind mix to the dal.

Then mix it well and add some water to it, then pour some salt and keep this on flame , no need to add oil now,

Mean while heat a kadai or pan and pour some oil to it, when its hot add mustard and when it splutters add the shallots, curry leaves ,dried red chilly and saute it well. when its nicely fried off the flame.

when it is done , taste it and add salt if needed, then add the fried mix of shallots to it.
