- 0.25 kg Okra Veggie
- 2.00 nos Onion
- 3.00 nos Tomatoes
- 0.75 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 0.25 cup Cashes Nuts
- 1.00 cup Yogurt
- 1.00 tbsp Besan Flour
- 5.00 nos Curry Leaves
- 1.50 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
- 1.50 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Cumin Seeds Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- 0.25 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 0.25 tbsp Fenugreek Seeds
- 0.25 tbsp Mustard Seeds
- 0.25 tbsp Kasuri Methi
- 0.75 tbsp Salt
- 0.5 tbsp Fresh Cream
- 0.5 tbsp Coriander Leaves
- 2.50 tbsp Oil
Instructions
Dahi Bhindi Recipe
- Rinse and wipe the okra veggie using a kitchen napkin,or else you may let them dry naturally.
- Remove the head and crown of the okra veggies and chop them as medium sized cubes.
- Heat a pan add half a tbsp of oil and saute them till the light brown strips are appears on it and witch off the flame and keep them aside.
- Peel and fine chop two medium sized onions and tomaties,if you increases the okra veggie sothat you should increases the quantity of onion and tomatoes.
- Take a mixer jar add chopped tomatoes and few cashew nuts into make fine paste.
- Blend well again if the added cashew nuts are not blend well,you can also soak cashew nuts in warm water for easily ground.
- Take a cup of well whisked fresh curd and add a tbsp of besan flour into them and blend well without any lumps,it prevents the curd from curdleness.
- Heat a pan add two tbps if oil,and splutters some mustard and cumin seeds and few fenugreek seeds with them.
- Then add fine chopped onion and some curry leaves into it and stir for a few minutes till the onions gets well fried.
- Then add 3/4th tbsp of ginger garlic paste into it and stir well again till the raw smells out.
- Then add freshly prepared tomato and cashew nuts puree into it,stir well for few seconds.
- Now add all the spice powders such as red chilly powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder and garam masala powder with them and stir well.
- Then add the freshly prepared yogurt and gram flour mixture with them and stir well.
- Then add enough water with them,added water which is enough to boil this sauted okra veggies.
- Then add already roasted okra veggies into that gravy and stir well for few seconds.
- Now add enough salt for the whole recipe,and stir well,tgen cover the lid and allow them to boil for eight to ten minutes.
- Now the added veggies are almost cooked and the gravy comes to tender state,sprinkle some fresh cream over them and add half a tbsp of kasuri methi with them,serve hot with hot rice or roti recipes.
