Corn upma is a maharashtrian style recipe by rubbing or grating gently the corn from the cob or taking corn seeds seperately , we can do delicious upma with merging of corns and healthy breakfast recipe with spicy chutneys especially with coconut chutneys.

Ingredients of Corn upma

1.00 cup Corn
1.00 cup Poha
1.00 cup Butter milk
1.00 cup Chopped onion
1.00 tbsp Turmaric powder
8.00 no curry leaves
2.00 tbsp Urad dal
1.00 tbsp mustard seeds
3.00 tbsp Oil
1.00 tbsp salt

The key ingredients to prepare corn upma or makyancha upma,we need corn,poha,butter milk,chopped onions,urad dal,turmaric powder,mustard seeds,oil and salt to taste.

Turn on a low flame place a non-stick kadai or tawa,add one cup of poha or flattened rice and saute it slightly for few seconds.

Add 8 to 10 curry leaves,you can also add chopped ginger and asafoetida a pinch,if you prefer.

To make a semi coarse paste,take a blender add a cup of corns and blend it for few seconds.

Now the mixture is blended,while blending you can add a little bit of water for smooth blending.

When the onion changes into golden brown colour,add a blended corn mixture into it and mix it well.

Now add a cup of roasted poha or flattened rice into the half cooked mixture, mix it well and leave till the poha blend with the mixture.
