Coriander rice is the one pot pressure cooker recipe which can be easily done instantly wherever the cilantro or coriander and the spices that i have used here is easily available at home,here i used to add some veggies such as potato and green peas you can also use alternative veggies.
Coriander Rice – Healthy And Tasty Coriander Rice Recipe
Coriander rice recipe is tasty and delicious indian dish. It’s a perfect lunch or dinner recipe for luscious and tasty, Its easily appreciated by kids and all age groups.
Ingredients
Coriander Rice
- 1.00 cup Rice
- 2.00 nos Onion
- 2.00 nos Potato
- 0.25 cup Green Peas
- 3.00 nos Green Chilly
- 0.25 cup Ginger
- 10.00 nos Garlic
- 0.50 cup Coriander Leaves
- 0.50 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
- 0.75 tbsp Salt
- 3.00 nos Cloves
- 2.00 nos Cinnamon Sticks
- 1.00 nos Bay Leaf
- 0.5 tbsp Lime Juice
Instructions
Coriander Rice
- Rinse one cup of rice and soak for ten to fifteen minutes,and drained out the water.
- Wash and chop onions into thin slices and also chop some ginger and peel some garlic pods and also chop some fresh coriander leaves,and green chilies.
- Take a mixer jar add fine chopped coriander leaves,ginger slices,garlic pods and green chilies.
- Grind well the added ingredients into coarsely or fine paste by adding a little water if need.
- Heat a pressure cooker add some oil or ghee and add those garam masala ingredients such as cloves,cinnamon and one bay leaf.
- Then add the lengthy sliced onions into them and stir well for few minutes till it comes to golden brown color.
- Then add the freshly grounded coriander,ginger and garlic paste into them and stir for a while.
- Then add those chopped veggies and add little red chilly powder and some cumin powder.
- Then add rinsed,soaked and drained rice with them,it is better to drained out the water completely.
- Roast the added rice for few minutes till the rice gets well roasted which helps the rice remains grained even pressure cook.
- Add enough water as 2:1 ratio that is two cups of water for one cup of rice and also add enough salt for them.
- Close the pressure cooker lid and brings to boil for three whistles and open the lid when the pressure releases itself.
- Sprinkle one tbsp of lemon juice over them and mix carefully using a fork till the added juice mixes well together.
- Finally garnish some coriander leaves with them and serve hot with tasty raita or with any veg salad.
