STEP : 1
At the first step take the fish and cut it to small pieces and wash it well using water and keep it aside .

Then take a bowl and put about two cup of water and pour some coconut milk powder to it , mix it well .

Then take a mud pot and put it on flame and let it heat. Once it becomes hot lower the flame .

Then put some coconut oil to it and when it's hot put some chopped onion , ginger and curry leaves to it.

Saute it well and let the onion becomes nicely translucent and we get a nice smell of roasted ginger add some green chilly to it .

Then stir it well and add some coriander powder to it , roast it first and then add turmeric powder and chilly powder.

Then mix everything well and let all the powders become nicely roasted , don't let it burn so keep the flame low .

Then put the coconut milk we already prepared to it and put some salt and black kokam also to it .

Then close the mud pot and let it boils, you can keep the flame high for make it faster .Once it boils add the fish pieces to it.

Then mix it carefully and let it cooked well. Keep the flame low again and wait for about ten minutes .

When we can the oil separated at the upper layer of fish curry it's understood that the fish curry is ready .

Then off the flame and cover it . Take the thengapaal fish curry along with rice, puttu or appam for the best taste.
