Chitranna recipe

STEP : 1
First of all take 1 cup of chiura in to a bowl and put them aside .The chiura must be crispy

STEP : 2
after that Take 2-3 glasses of water into a large bowl and put the chiura into the water atleast for 3-4 minutes. so that the chiura will absorb the water.make sure it should not cross 4 minutes otherwise it will be pasted

STEP : 3
after that take a net and put the chiura in to the net. so that water will be out completely from chiura. we should not touch it with hands otherwise it will be pasted.

Now put the chiura aside for sometime and then take a fresh kadai and then add 2-3 table spoons of oil into the kadai. the kadai should not contain any water drops.

STEP : 5
Now when the oil is heated on the low flame add 2-3 table spoons of groundnuts into the heated oil. make sure the fire should be on the medium flame.

After that the groundnuts will slowly turns in to light brown color then add 1 tbsp of jeera in to the kadai to give a very good flavour to the chiura

after that whenever the jeera gives the essence then we have to quickly add 1 tbsp of mustard seeds into the kadai

STEP : 8
after adding mustard seeds then add 2 tbsp of chana dal into the mixture this is not manadatory. if we want we can add otherwise we can ignore

when the chana dal lightly turns in to reddish color add the curry leaves to the mixture. If you like it you can add more leaves

STEP : 10
after that whenever the curry leaves turns into crispy then we have to add 1/2 cup of onions into the mixture

whenever the onions are lightly roasted then add 4-5 chillies in order to get the spicy. If you want more spicy add 2 more chillies.

whenever the chillies are lightly roasted then we have to add 2 tbsp of garlic pieces in to the mixture.

after that we have to add 2 tbsp of salt so that the onions will be roasted completly very quickly

after that we have to add 1/2 cup of fresh tomatoes in to the mixture. make sure that the tomatoes are cut in to small pieces

Now we have to observe that the tomatoes are cooked nicely. if they are not cooked properly the taste will not be good

when the tomatoes are cooked completely then add 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder in to the mixture to give color as well as taste

Now we have to add that 1 cup of chiura rice in to the mixture which we kept aside initially

STEP : 18
Now mix the chiura rice properly. so that all the ingredients will properly mix together which gives a perfect taste

Now take the chira groundnut rice in to the serving bowl and eat it with lemon combination or potato curry.
