It is prepared with flattened rice. It is very healthy food. kids love to eat this recipe with potato curry. It is very weight food and 1 good thing we can cook within 20 minutes. I can say it is an unique item

Ingredients of Aval upma

1.00 cup chiura
2.50 tbsp groundnuts
1.00 tbsp mustard seeds
1.00 tbsp chana dal
0.50 tbsp turmeric powder
0.50 cup onions
0.25 cup chilli
0.25 cup curry leaves
2.00 tbsp oil
1.00 tbsp jeera
2.00 tbsp ginger pieces
0.50 cup tomatoes
2.00 tbsp salt

Chitranna recipe

First of all take 1 cup of chiura in to a bowl and put them aside .The chiura must be crispy

after that Take 2-3 glasses of water into a large bowl and put the chiura into the water atleast for 3-4 minutes. so that the chiura will absorb the water.make sure it should not cross 4 minutes otherwise it will be pasted
