- 0.25 kg Chinese Potato
- 0.5 cup Grated Coconuts
- 2.00 tbsp White Sesame Seeds
- 0.25 cup Curry Leaves
- 2.00 tbsp Red Chilies
- 1.00 cup Onions
- 2.00 tbsp Crunched Garlic Cloves
- 1.00 tbsp Urad Dal
- 0.5 tbsp Mustard Seeds
- 3.00 nos Green Chilies
- 0.5 tbsp Hing
- 0.25 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 2.00 tbsp Oil
- 1.00 tbsp Salt
Instructions
Chinese Potato Stir Fry
- The Key ingredients to prepare chinese potato stir fry ,we need chinese potatoes,coconut,onion,garlic,curry leaves,green chillies,red chilli flakes,urad dal,mustard seeds,sesame seeds,turmeric powder,oil and salt.
- Beat the chinese potatoes using kitchen towel and peel the skin and wash it completely.
- Now cut the peeled chinese potatoes in lengthy strips for easy boiling and keep aside.
- Turn on the flame,place a pan add some water for boiling purpose and leave it.
- Add a tablespoon of salt in boiling water for easy boiling and mix it
- Add the sliced potato strips along with the boiling water and close the lid few minutes.
- For seasoning turn on the flame ,place a pan add a tablespoon of oil , add 1/4 tablespoon of mustard seeds and let it splutter .
- Add two tablespoon of urad dal along with the seeds for more spices for taste.
- Add a cup of shallot onions along with the seasoning ingredients and saute it few seconds.
- Add a tablespoon of finely chopped green chillies around five to six for more spices.
- Add 1/4 cup of curry leaves along with the seasoning ingredients and saute for few seconds.
- Add a tablespoon finely crunched garlic cloves along with the seasoning ingredients and mix it.
- Add a tablespoon of red chilli flakes along with the seasoning ingredients and mix it.
- Add a pinch of asafoetida or hing along with the seasoning ingredients and mix it.
- Add two tablespoon of white sesame seeds along with the ingredients for more spices for taste.
- Add half cup of grated coconut along with the seasoning ingredients and saute it few seconds.
- After few minutes when the potatoes are nicely parboiled and strain the boiled water completely.
- Add the strained chinese potatoes along with the fried seasoning ingredients and mix it well.
- Add a pinch of turmeric powder along with boiled potatoes and mix it few seconds.
- After few seconds when everything is complete turn off the flame and transfer in a plate.
