Ingredients of Chikoo Halwa
STEP : 1
The key ingredients to prepare chikoo halwa ;we need chikoo ;milk;cardamom powder;sugar;ghee;maida;cashewnuts;raisins and a pinch salt.

Initially take 500 grams of chikoo in a bowl and add some amount of water to wash it.

After washing it completely under the cool water ;peel the chikoo skin and seperate it.

Take out the chikoo seeds from all the chikoos by cutting them into small pieces.

The next process is Put all the chikkoo pieces in a blender or mixie jar .

Now blend it only a few seconds because it is too soft and keep aside.

Turn on the flame;place a vessel add 250 ml of milk and let it heat for few minutes.

When milk starts foaming then turn off the flame ;let it cool for few seconds.

Add half cup of granulated sugar to make a powder in a blender or mixie jar.

Blend it because the halwa is too creamy so that the powdered sugar can blend easily.

Turn on the flame;place a non stick pan ;add a tablespoon of ghee in it.

Add the blended chikoo paste in a melted ghee and mix it completely;let it cook.

Now add the warm milk and stir it completely and scrape the edges in between.

Add a tablespoon of powdered sugar or as per taste because chikoo contains enough sweet.

Add crunched two cardamoms or half tablespoon of cardamom powder and mix it continuously for few seconds.

Add a pinch of salt for blended taste because there is no sweet recipe with out using salt.

To prepare a maida batter take a tablespoon of maida ;we know already maida is gluten.

Add little bit of water ;don't add too much of water mix it with spoon with out lumps.

Now add the batter into the cooked halwa and keep stirring it continuously for few minutes.

Let's roast the nuts;place a kadai add the remaining tablespoon of ghee and let it melt.

Add few broken cashewnuts and mix it;You can even add crunched badam if you prefer.

Add quarter cup of raisins and mix it;You can add crunched pistachios if you prefer.

Add the roasted nuts along with the chikoo halwa and mix it ;let it cook.

Turn off the flame and allow to cool for few minutes and transfer it in a serving bowl;our chikoo halwa is ready.to serve.
