Ingredients
Chana Dal Khichdi
- 1.00 cup Chana Dal
- 1.00 cup Basmati Or Bullet Brand Rice
- 0.75 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 0.25 tbsp Hing
- 0.5 tbsp Rick Salt
- 0.75 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
- 2.00 tbsp Oil
Instructions
Chana Dal Khichdi
- Rinse and soak one cup if Bengal gram which us nothing but chana dal for overnight or for four or five hours.
- Then take one large cup of basmati or bullet brand rice for half an hour,and rinse well.
- Take a pressure cooker add two tbsp of oil and splutters some cumin seeds into them.
- Then add 3/4 th tbsp of Rock salt and a pinch of hing and add required red chilly powder into them.
- Then add those soaked and drained Bengal gran into them and stir well for few seconds till it gets to roasted well.
- Then add two cups of water into them and mix well and brings it to boil for a few minutes.
- After few minutes make sure the added Bengal gram comes to cook well till it comes to soft.
- Then now add well rinsed soaked and drained basmati or Bullet Brand rice into them and mix well.
- Then now cover the pressure cooker lid and brings it to boil for two or three whistles.
- After two or three whistles switch off the flame and brings the pressure downs itself,and now open the lid.
- Stir them carefully and now the rice remains long and Bengal gran comes to flavorful and soft.garnush welk and serve hot with spicy curry recipes.
