Everybody knows about the unbeatable taste of mumbai's chaat.But there is so much to explore and savour in other regions of maharastra.As diwali festival is incomplete without the crispy bhajanee chakli.Nothing can taste like homemade chakli and especially if its with bonus of bhajanee chakli.

Ingredients of Chakli recipe

1.00 cup Rice flour
0.50 cup Besan
2.50 tbsp Oil
0.75 cup Water
0.25 tbsp Turmeric powder
0.50 tbsp Ajwain
0.50 tbsp Cumin seeds
1.00 tbsp Red chilli
0.50 tbsp Asafoetida optional
1.00 tbsp Sesame seeds
1.50 kg Oil
1.00 tbsp Salt

Chakli recipe

1)First take rice flour and gram flour in a bowl. 2)Add carrom seeds,cumin seeds,sesame seeds,turmeric powder,red chilli powder,asafoetida and salt.

3)mix everything with a spoon. 4)heat oil in a small pan. 5) Add that hot oil to flour mixture.

6)mix oil with your fingertips with flours. 7)Then heat water in a bowl till it starts boiling. 8)Add this hot water in parts to flour mixture. Mix well with spoon. 9)Add more water as required and begin kneading. 10)Knead and form a dough.

11)knead to a dough which is firm.cover dough rest for 30 minutes. 12)Apply some water to chakli maker and place a portion of dough inside it. 13)Tighten the lid and press chakli maker to prepare chakli.move in rounds to get spiral shape.make chakalis on butter paper ,so that its easy to remove them.

11)knead to a dough which is firm.cover dough rest for 30 minutes. 12)Apply some water to chakli maker and place a portion of dough inside it. 13)Tighten the lid and press chakli maker to prepare chakli.move in rounds to get spiral shape.make chakalis on butter paper ,so that its easy to remove them.

14)Heat oil for deep frying in a pan.take small piece od dough and check the temperature of oil.if dough comes up gradually then oil is ready for .if dough sits at bottom then oil is still cold.if dough comes up briskly and quickly then oil is too hot.

15)lift the chakli gently and slid into hot oil. 16)fry 3 to 4 chaklis at a time.dont over crowd the pan while frying.

everybody is familiar with Chakali, it is a very crunchy and tasty snack, mostly prepare on Diwali or other festivals, I love this snack, we can make at home, very healthy dish, if you never try this then try it, you will love this dish, thank you for this recipe.
