South Indian Style Healthy Breakfast Of Bread Upma Using Simple Steps

Ingredients of Bread upma
STEP : 1
Take 1 carrot, 2 capsicum and few beans, wash them properly and chopped these vegetables into very small pieces. You can use any other vegetables in place of these veggies.

Take chopped onion, also take fried ground nuts. Take almost ten slices of brown bread and scramble or tear them nicely with your hands. Keep them a side.

Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan, firstly add chopped carrot and saute it for a minute then add chopped bean and again saute it. Finally add chopped capsicum, œ teaspoon of turmeric powder, salt as required and mix well. Turn off the flame after 2 minutes.

Transfer the fried vegetables in a separate plate and add 3 -4 tablespoon of oil in same non-stick pan. Add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, few curry leaves, chopped onion and saute it for a minute.

Reduce the flame to low, add œ teaspoon of turmeric powder, œ teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoon of sugar and saute it for few second. Now add small pieces of brown bread and mix well.

After that sprinkle a little water over it and mix well. Then add tomato ketchup and again mix it well. Add little of lemon juice if you wish and mix it.

After mixing adds the fried ground nuts, it will add more taste to this recipe. In place of ground nuts you can add roasted cashew nuts.

Now add the fried vegetables and mix properly. For making brown bread upma healthier you can simply add boiled vegetables with chat masala and black pepper.

Turn off the flame, for increasing more flavor to this dish add small bowl of namkeen (I have used sweet favor of namkeen if you like spicy namkeen you can add that also).
STEP : 10
Transfer a very yummy vegetable brown bread upma to a serving plate. Garnish with chopped coriander. You can serve it with curd or coconut chutney.
