Bottle gourd is known as sorakkai inamil and Lauki in Hindi,you can make various dishes using the bottle gourd such as sweets and spices,this is one of the best dish using ths vegetable is bottle gourd pulao which is very tasty while having it with spicy gravy.

Bottle gourd recipes for rice

When onion gets fried now add some ginger garlic paste and saute well for few seconds till the raw smell completely goes out

Then add the powdered ingredients such as red chilly powder.turmeric powder.coriander powder and a pinch of garam masala powder.and mix well.

After five minutes keep the rice pot in dhum process.is nothing but heat a flat tawa and place the cooked rice pot over them and place a vessel full of water over them and bring it boil for 10 minutes in slow fire.After 10 minutes add chopped coriander and mint leaves and add 1 tbsp of lime juice and stir well.
