Ingredients of Boondi ki Kheer

STEP : 1
Set aside the mixed colored boondi along with the almond which would be roasted. Also take a tin of condensed milk

Take the almond pieces, wash and dry them and then cut them into thin long slices as shown in the image.

Heat ghee in a kadai and add the chopped almond and fry them till they turn slightly darker in color
STEP : 4
Now drain the excess ghee from the almond and then set it aside in a bowl so that it can be used for garnishing the kheer.

Now to the remaining ghee in the kadai add the boondi and fry them well, but make sure that they do not change the color.

After the boondi is fried add the whole full cream milk and bring it to boil with the boondi so that the milk is thickened and the boondi softens.

Once the milk is boiled and reduces to half the volume, add the sugar and condensed milk and cook for another 5 minutes till the kheer is thick

Pour the kheer in a serving bowl, add the cardamom powder and then allow it to cool before it is served with almond topped garnishing.
