It is one of the famous sweet recipes of India which is specially made during special occasions. Yes without sweets how could we pass any festivals.
This besan ladoo is an instant recipe which you can make with easily available ingredients at home.
Besan ladoo health benefits include many as it contains lots of fresh desi ghee. And because of the desi ghee, the calories in besan ladoo is high and so you must be cautious in the amount of serving.
You can store this ladoo for at least 1 week and it remains the same soft texture and same taste even after a week. As like besan ladoo, motichoor ladoo also remains good for more than a week.
Making the perfect besan ladoo
The only thing that you must do carefully while making besan ladoo is frying the besan. You must have lots of patience to do the process.
You must use medium flame while frying the besan. Make sure not to burn the flour. The raw smell must fade away completely otherwise your besan ladoo will be a big failure.
You just have to throw it out as it smells very odd if you do not fry properly.
Here I am using jaggery to make the recipe just to make it more healthy.
You can even add white sugar and it will also taste equally good. Everyone in my family appreciates the texture of my ladoo, the secret is my homemade desi ghee. Try making your own ghee to make flavourful sweets.
You can even use milkmaid to enrich the richness of the sweet. Or add milkmaid for half the sweetness and some sugar for remaining sweetness. You must add cardamom powder to get a nice flavour in the ladoo.
Am not using any coconut in this recipe but you can make besan ladoo with coconut also.
You just have to fry the coconuts for 2 minutes and then add to the ladoo mixture. But if you are using coconut, then you have to consume it soon or you have to store it in the refrigerator.
Am not using any nuts as I don’t have stock at home, you can add any nuts of your choice. Just chop the nuts, fry in the ghee for a minute and then add it to the ladoo mixture.
Shaping the ladoo
The shape and colour are the most tempting factors of a perfect ladoo.
For making a perfect round shape, you have to start making the ladoo when the mixture is still warm. Just apply some oil in your hands and make the ladoo for the silky look.

Now take the frying pan heat it and put the Ghee in it for further process

After heating the Ghee now put the gram flour in the frying pan for further process

After putting the gram flour in the frying pan mix it well till the gram flour cook well for further process

After cooking the gram flour remove the gram flour in the plate for further process

Next peel off the cardamom seeds and put it in the grinder cup to grind it for further process

Take the frying pan and put the Ghee in it and heat it for further process

After heating the Ghee put one table spoon of cardamom powder in the frying pan

Next add the one cup of jaggery In the Ghee in frying pan for further process

Stir Well that the jaggery gets melts fully in the Ghee in the frying pan for further process
