Ingredients of Besan kheer recipe

1.75 cup Besan flour
2.00 cup Milk
1.00 tbsp cardamom powder
2.00 tbsp Ghee
0.25 cup water
1.00 tbsp Cashew nuts
1.50 cup Sugar

I have never thought that chick pea flour can be used to make payasam. I have eaten many sweet dishes made from chick pea flour but not this one. Chick pea flour is a good source of proteins.
