Beetroot Rasam

  • 1.00 nos Beetroot
  • 2.00 tbsp Coconut
  • 2.00 tbsp Oil
  • 0.25 nos Mustard
  • 0.25 nos Cumin Seeds
  • 0.25 nos Urad Dal
  • 1.00 nos Onion
  • 3.00 nos Green Chilly
  • 6.00 nos Garlic Flakes
  • 2.00 tbsp Tamarind Juice
  • 0.25 tbsp Chilly Powder
  • 0.25 nos Little Turmeric Powder
  • 4.00 nos Little Curry Leaves
  • 3.00 nos Little Coriander Leaves

Instructions
 

Beetroot Rasam

  • Boil the beetroot and cook well and chop into small cubes. Put the chopped beetroot into the mixer, add coconut and grind to make a smooth puree.

  • Heat a pan, add oil, mustard, urad dal, cumin seeds, green chilly, onion and garlic flakes and fry. Add tamarind juice and fry for 2 minutes.

  • Now add the puree to the pan and mix well. Add chilly powder, salt, little water and turmeric powder and boil well.

  • Turn off the gas and garnish with coriander leaves, pudina leaves and curry leaves. Beetroot Rasam can be served with rice.
