Ingredients
Beetroot Rasam
- 1.00 nos Beetroot
- 2.00 tbsp Coconut
- 2.00 tbsp Oil
- 0.25 nos Mustard
- 0.25 nos Cumin Seeds
- 0.25 nos Urad Dal
- 1.00 nos Onion
- 3.00 nos Green Chilly
- 6.00 nos Garlic Flakes
- 2.00 tbsp Tamarind Juice
- 0.25 tbsp Chilly Powder
- 0.25 nos Little Turmeric Powder
- 4.00 nos Little Curry Leaves
- 3.00 nos Little Coriander Leaves
Instructions
Beetroot Rasam
- Boil the beetroot and cook well and chop into small cubes. Put the chopped beetroot into the mixer, add coconut and grind to make a smooth puree.
- Heat a pan, add oil, mustard, urad dal, cumin seeds, green chilly, onion and garlic flakes and fry. Add tamarind juice and fry for 2 minutes.
- Now add the puree to the pan and mix well. Add chilly powder, salt, little water and turmeric powder and boil well.
- Turn off the gas and garnish with coriander leaves, pudina leaves and curry leaves. Beetroot Rasam can be served with rice.
