Ingredients
  

For Sambar Preparation

  • 2.00 tbsp Oil
  • 1.00 tbsp Jeera
  • 1.00 cup Green Gram Or Hesaru Kaalu
  • 1.00 no onion
  • 4.00 no Green Chilli
  • 1.00 no Garlic
  • 1.00 no Tamarind
  • 1.00 cup Grated Cocanut
  • 0.50 cup Water
  • 0.50 tbsp Salt

For Green Gram Preparation

  • 2.00 tbsp Oil
  • 1.00 tbsp Jeera
  • 3.00 no red Chilli
  • 10.00 no Curry Leaves
  • 1.00 no onion
  • 1.00 tbsp Salt
  • 1.00 cup Green Gram Or Hesaru Kaalu
  • 0.25 cup Water

Instructions
 

For Sambar Preparation

  • Take one onion and peel it and wash it correctly and cut/chop them into five pieces. We will add few to blend and few to the cooker while frying it. Donï¿œt add too much of onions also which will be too much of masala.

  • Take quarter cup of grated coconut, which is required in less quantity because if we add more the taste of the saaru or the dal goes. Too much of coconut brings heart burn sometimes adding it in lesser quantity avoids too much of masala also.

  • Add four green chilly. Let it be four to five green chilly for one bowl of green gram because too much of green chilly is not good for health. This is just to add the spice flavor, we can add red chilly powder instead but to give the authentic spice itï¿œs better to add green chilly. It will be blended so it wonï¿œt be much spicy also.

  • Now take one piece of tamarind because tamarind juice is one the most important ingredients for this sambaru, so it will give good taste in this sambaru. Please wash and soak it well before 30 min.

  • Now take one medium size of garlic and burn in flame, after medium burn in flame break this and clean it well before put in mixer, this is one of the ingredients to make the good flavor and taste.

  • Put the chopped onion and green chili, garlic, tamarind and small amount of grated coconut, if required add jeera (jeerige)for grinding purpose add some small amount of water not too much.

  • Now grind the all ingredients well like semi liquid and need to well grind this kaara ( masala kaara),Once grinding completed keep it a side for the next process.

  • Take one pan to prepare the sambaru add some amount of oil in to pan once oil heated semi add the mixed sambaru masala in to the pan, now take the water which is used to boil the green gram or hesaru kaalu , put in to mixer jar and shake and put in to the pan.

  • Keep the stove in medium flame same sambaru will boil neatly , middle stir it well and add some amount of salt as per the taste boil it up to 20 to 3 min until coming good boiling , after boil you can feel the flavor of the sambaru .

  • After well boiled sambaru taste it and if any amount of salt required add it before taking down from the stove, once it good shift to one bowl to serve

  • Final,Now the prepared sambaru is ready to serve, before serve check the taste if any amount of salt required add, so it will give good taste this is the one of the goos sambaru with combination raaagi mudde. Below steps are for Hesaru kaalu paly this is sides for this sambaru.

For Green Gram Preparation

  • Now take on bowl of Hesru kaalu or green gram wash l neatly and soak it in a bowl full of water for more than 1 hour and if you have time you can soak it even for 4 hours. So green gram or Hesru kaalu is hard when it soaks it becomes soft and it will be easy to blend. When you soak it if there is any color kind or dust in the green gram or Hesru kaalu it leaves in the water so that you can wash it easily

  • Now take the green gram or hesaru kaalu in to the cooker to boil, add in to a cooker and add medium amount of water and boil it 4 to 5 whistle in cooker because , green gram or hesaru kaalu is very hard so it has to boil well.

  • After the four to five whistle of green gram or hesaru kaalu the top lid of the cooker after the full pressure down, check the green gram or hearu kaalu boiled status. If it is boiled well shift in to the bowl and keep the boiled water a side.

  • Add red chilli . Let it be three to four red chilli for one bowl of green gram because too much of redchilli is not good for health. This is just to add the spice flavor, it will give good taste and decoration.

  • Take one pan to prepare the hesaru kallu bassaru palya add some amount of oil in to pan once oil heated add some amount of jeera to fry the palya, it will give a good taste in palya.

  • Now add the chopped red chilli , curry leaved and onion in to the pan and fry it well , fry it like water content to be leaves in onion then it is good frying method also, it will good tasty.

  • After well frying of onion, curry leaves and red chilli add the bowl of boiled green gram or hesaru kaal in to the pan , donï¿œt put the any small amount of water if there in green gram bowl.

  • After put all ingredients in to the pan and mix it well like all ingredients should be mixed well, so it will good method to fry all. Also if boiled in mixed condition it is good taste.

  • After well fried of all ingredients add some amount of salt as per the taste and add grated coconut in the pan and fry it less time after put grated coconut in to the pan.Now if it is fried well taste it if any salt required before serving that if required add and fry again sometime and then shift in to the bowl to serve.
