STEP : 1
Soak barley and udad dal separately overnight. next morning, grind them. Mix both and leave to ferment. Proper fermentation makes them soft.

Next morning, add salt to the batter.mix it well. Pour the batter evenly in all the idli containers. place the containers on the idli stand.

After pouring the batter in the containers and placing them on the stand,heat the steamer with enough water. Leave them to steam

After steaming, let the idlis cool. Remove them on a dish. Serve them with chutney or sauce of your choice.
