STEP : 1
Remove the top skin of the banana stem and chop it into small pieces. Wash the cut banana stem pieces before boiling in a pressure cooker.

Chop the onion. Slit the green chili. Chop the tomato into small pieces (These are the raw materials to prepare the crispy masala).

After boiling the banana stem in step 1 take it out from the pressure cooker and mash it very well with hand.

Heat oil in a kadai Add Kalonji Seeds Add the onion and green chili. Fry till they turn golden brown.

To the mixture above add the tomato and fry till it softens and the tomato melts in the masala completely.

Add a pinch of salt and tiurmeric and mix well. Add the sugar and mix it thoroughly so that the masala is ready.
STEP : 7
To the masala in step 6 add the boiled and mashed banana stem and mix it very well so that the masala is uniformly blended. Cook till any excess water is drained off.
