  • 0.25 kg Banana Stem
  • 1.00 nos Onion
  • 1.00 nos Tomato
  • 3.00 nos Chili
  • 0.25 tbsp Kalonji Seeds
  • 0.25 tbsp Salt
  • 0.25 tbsp Sugar
  • 3.00 tbsp Oil
  • 0.25 tbsp Turmeric

  • Remove the top skin of the banana stem and chop it into small pieces. Wash the cut banana stem pieces before boiling in a pressure cooker.

  • Chop the onion. Slit the green chili. Chop the tomato into small pieces (These are the raw materials to prepare the crispy masala).

  • After boiling the banana stem in step 1 take it out from the pressure cooker and mash it very well with hand.

  • Heat oil in a kadai Add Kalonji Seeds Add the onion and green chili. Fry till they turn golden brown.

  • To the mixture above add the tomato and fry till it softens and the tomato melts in the masala completely.

  • Add a pinch of salt and tiurmeric and mix well. Add the sugar and mix it thoroughly so that the masala is ready.
