STEP : 1
Wash the banana flower and cut it into very small pieces as shown in the figure. Then boil the same in a pressure cooker and have it softened so that it can be mashed with hands.

Peel the potato and wash it very well and chop it into large sized cubes which will be cooked in t he gravy.

Heat cumin seeds in a kadai and fry them till brown. Add the cubed potatoes till they turn golden brown.

To the fried potato above add the tomato cubes and green chili and fry them well till it softens and the tomato melts.

Take a small amount of the aroma rice and clean it very well by washing it under running water and set it aside.

Add turmeric, salt and bengal gram (boiled) to the fried potato and also add a pinch of salt and mix them well.

To the mixture above add the coconut paste and mix thoroughly and cook in low flame for atleast 2-3 minutes.

Now after the coconut is mixed and fried add the aroma rice to the mixture and blend it well and fry it so that it can be cooked.

Add the boiled banana flowers to the mixture above and blend very well and cook for 5-7 minutes under simmer till the rice is cooked and all the ingredients are mixed. This is now ready to be served.
