Ingredients of Banana appam
STEP : 1
The key ingredients to prepare banana appam or paniyaram we need all purpose flour,semolina or rava,sugar,oil for frying,salt a pinch,cardamom,raisins,bananas.

For preparing sweet appam add a cup a powdered sugar,so that take a blender jar,add a cup of sugar and 3 nos of cardamom.

Blend it once as a semi powdered sugar,you can also add jaggery or brown sugar for making this recipe.

Take a separate vessel or bowl,add half cup of water for soaking suji,if you going to add jaggery you can add along with this water for making fine syrup.

Add one and half suji and let it soak for 3 to 5 minutes till it get dissolves.

Now add a cup of powdered sugar,mix it well till all the ingredients get thickened.

Now add a two and half cup of all purpose flour,you can also add equal portion of wheat flour and all purpose flour.

Now add a pinch of salt and pinch of baking soda or cooking soda and mix all this ingredients in a smooth thick batter.

Now add 1/4 cup of raisins but it is optional and mix it.The batter should be like dosa or idli better consistency.

Now add two medium sides mashed or sliced bananas into the mixture and mix it well,untill the banana lumps get dissolves with the mixture.

The batter should be thick consistency,you can also add the a beaten egg into mixture but it is optional.

Now let the batter rest for 10 to 20 minutes in the refrigerator or keep it aside in a room temperature.

Now heat oil,drop the batter little by little and let it fry in a low flame for two to three minutes.

Now the balls changes into golden brown colour and take it out and keep it in a separate plate one by one,now our sweet banana ready to serve.You can serve this banana appam as evening snack for kids.
