Its my diwali sweet. I was planning to make aval payasam recipe just like paal payasam and the flavour was unique too. I made this easy aval payasam as aval or rice flakes is said to be Lord Krishna's favourite. I usually prefer jaggery to sugar as it is rich in iron and is also a healthier option than sugar. Today we will learn how to make Aval Payasam with jaggery following this easy recipe.

Ingredients of Aval payasam

0.25 cup Roseaval
0.25 cup Sugar
2.50 cup Milk
2.00 tbsp Ghee
5.00 no Cashew nuts
4.00 no Cardamom
8.00 no Raisins

Ingredients needed : cashew nut , dry grapes , cardamom. You can add any type of dry fruits which you like to have.

Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan add cashews and fry till golden brown, Rinse rose aval and roast it in a tsp of ghee for 3 mins until it changes color slightly.

Boil milk, keep in sim and reduce its volume to atleast 1.5 cups. Then add sugar and mix well. Now flavour the milk by adding cardamom.

After five minutes , you can serve that in a bowl and decorate that with dry fruits like grapes, cashews, cardamon.
