Ingredients of Appam
STEP : 1
Wash rice and urad dal thoroughly and soak in enough water for about six to seven hours.

Take a medium mixer vessel and put soaked rice, urad daal, cooked rice and grated coconut into it.
STEP : 3
Grind all ingredients to a fine paste. Remove from the mixer vessel and add required water and keep this batter aside overnight for fermentation.

Next morning take the fermented batter and add required salt and mix the batter very well and check the consistency of a dosa batter.

Heat a aapam tawa and grease it with oil. Pour aapam batter to it and just turn around the tawa to make a dosa. Keep the lid and cook in a low flame. Remove from the tawa and aapam dosa is ready to serve. Serve with fish curry . You can also serve with any vegetable dish.
