STEP : 1
Take the pointed gourds, wash them very well and remove the skin to peel them very well and set it aside.

Take the potatoes, wash them and peel them well and clean it well and cut it into long thin slices.
STEP : 3
Chop the pointed gourd into thin long pieces as shown in the figure. Make sure that the pointed gourds are of uniform size.

Heat oil in a kadai and add the kalonji seeds and fry them till it turns dark. Add the potato and deep fry them in the oil.

After frying the potatoes for some time add the pointed gourd and mix it well in t he kadai and fry it well with the potato.

Add the turmeric powder, salt and sugar and fry for some more time till the water is extracted from the pointed gourd
STEP : 7
Continue to fry the mixture for another 6-8 minutes till it is completely cooked. The vegetables are softened and there is no more water and it would become crispy fried.
