  • 2.00 nos potato big
  • 1.00 nos tomato
  • 0.25 tbsp pachforan
  • 0.50 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 0.25 tbsp coriander powder
  • 3.00 tbsp mustard oil
  • 0.50 tbsp salt
  • 1.00 nos red chilly dry
  • 0.25 tbsp red chilly powder
  • 0.25 tbsp hing

  • This is a Bengali style dish it is called aloo bhindir torkari or aloo bhindi chorchori. This style of aloo bhindi is very spicy and easy to cook. This is a dry vegetable side dish. Served with hot roti or parathas.

  • Now starts the dish, Take 500 gm bhindi or lady finger, wash it properly in running water. Cut it vertically shown as the picture. Take 2 big potatoes peel it and cut it into vertically as shown in the picture.

  • Take a kadhai, add 2 tbsp. of mustered oil. Add one red dry chilly and pachforan fry it for few seconds. Add 2 pinch of hing in it. Now add vertically cut potatoes. fry the potatoes till it getting light brown colour.

  • Add the vertically cut bhindies or lady finger in the fried potatoes. Fry them properly. fry it till the bhindies getting soft. Add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and red chilly powder in it.

  • Mix them properly. Take a medium sized tomato cut it into small pieces. Add the tomatoes in it cook it till tomatoes melt properly. Sprinkle some water in it and sim the gas and cover it. After 10 mins take the cover off and check the potatoes are cooked or not. turn off the gas. Serve it with hot roti or parathas.
