STEP : 1
The key ingredients to prepare adaidosa , we need rice, moong dal, toordal,green gram , urad dal, red chillies, turmeric powder, onions,curry leaves, hing, salt and oil for taste.

Take a seperate long bottomed vessel , add a cup of raw rice or can add par boiled rice .

STEP : 3
Add half cup of whole green gram dal along with rice or you can even roast the dal before adding for more crisp.

STEP : 4
Add a cup of toordal or roasted Toor dal along with the ingredients , roasting dal gives a nice aroma.

STEP : 5
Add a cup of light roasted moong dal along with the ingredients , you can add roasted channa dal for rich taste.

STEP : 6
Add a cup of urad dal or uluthamparuppu along with these ingredients for soaking purpose .

Wash it twice or thrice thoroughly and let the ingredients soak minimum 2 hours for well soaking.

Add 3 or 4 red chillies along with soaking ingredients or else you can grind the red chillies seperately.

Take a blender , drain the water seperately and add the soaked ingredients in a blender jar.

Add seperated drain water gradually or water and blend it twice or thrice or till it turns coarse paste.

Don t blend too much thin , the batter should be little more finer than cerotirava.

For tempering take a seperate kadai in a low flame , add two to three tablespoon of oil.

Add 3 to 4 small pieces of red chillies , dont fry the red chillies in high flame sothat the tempering taste will gone.

Add 5 to 6 curry leaves in hot oil and leave it to splutter for few seconds.

Add a pinch of turmeric powder and lightly saute it in a low flame and leave few seconds.

Add a pinch of hing or asafoetida into the spices then add little bit salt into the ingredients.

Leave it to cool for sometime then add the seasoning spices into the batter , you can add grated coconut.

Add a cup of chopped onions and mix it well , you can add crunched coriander leaves if you prefer.

Add salt for taste then mix all the ingredients by using spoon, the batter should be thicker than idly batter.

Heat the tawa, spread oil on all sides and spread one laddle thick batter then spread it round shape.

Turn the adai carefully till it make crisp and transfer them in a seperate plate , our healthy adais are ready to serve hot sambhar or coconut chutney.
